Dear Neighbour, You are invited to a "Permablitz" gathering at 12 Corby Ave 10:.00 a.m. on Saturday May 10th. Permablitz is a one day garden transformation by a volunteer group of Permaculture enthusiasts and designers. The owner supplies the materials and, after a consultative thought and design process, the Permablitz group supplies the plan and expertise to make it possible. Then a date is picked for the "blitz" and we all gather to make it happen. With "many hands making light work," the objective is to complete the job in one day not forgetting to have some fun as we go. The day runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You are very welcome to come along and just see what's happening, or join in and help put the plan into action. You may even be interested in hosting a Permablitz for your own garden…. Bring a plate of food to share for lunch and we will have some tea in the afternoon. We may be short of cups and cutlery, so please bring your own. Children are very welcome. There will be a number of casual workshops during the day and you are invited to join in. This could be a good opportunity to learn more about… • Pruning fruit trees • Keeping chickens in the garden • Setting up and using a small "hot house" in the garden • Growing plants and vegetables from seed in the 'hot house' If you would like to do some gardening, a contribution of gardening tools for the day would be much appreciated. We are very much looking forward to hosting this Permablitz and meeting you in the garden. Feel free to RSVP to 6231 0230 or pop in on the spur of the moment. Hope to see you, Andrew and Tricia |
