Sarah, Cam and their 6 month old daughter Elka share a place in Reservoir and dream of creating a food forest with fruit trees,  making the back garden a beautiful retreat space. It sounds like a good dream to have – so we’re going to help them make it into a reality!

We’re also going to give the front garden some TLC and add some screening from the road – making the home even more livable.

This event was originally published as happening on September 9. This was incorrect. It’s all happening on September 2.

On the day, we will be:

• Creating two wicking beds for veges
• Building a trellis for passionfruit
• Creating a small swale to help direct water to new citrus trees at the front of the house
• Planting a ‘shady plants’ area under an existing acacia
• Planting, planting and more planting!

There’s some awesome workshops happening, including:

• Making wicking beds
• Creating a swale
• Creating trellises and other support structures

If  you could bring the following tools  that would be ace:

• Wheelbarrows
• Saws
• Shovels
• Drills
• Trowels
• Garden forks
• Hammers

And don’t forget to bring gardening gloves! And kids are totally welcome, as long as you keep an eye on them of course!
