Lenka has a little family in the inner north suburbs, and she wants to reinvigorate their garden into one of earthly delights through permaculture philosophy. Lenka has always wanted a permaculture inspired garden, and believes it is important for our young ones to have that direct link with our food source, and sees that having an edible landscape as a very positive and engaging way to do it.

So we’re going to help her achieve her permie goal! Who’s with us?!?

The action plan for the day includes:

• Building wicking bed and normal garden beds
• Installing grey water system
• Planting trees
• Planting ground cover/lawn replacement
• Building/digging a pond
• Pruning
• Shoveling soil
• Some weeding will be necessary (in a fun way!)

We’re also going to have some pretty cool workshops on:

• Grey water systems
• Pruning
• Wicking bed

If you’re coming along, then if you’ve got the following and can bring them, then that would be pretty ace:

• Wheelbarrows x2
• Buckets for carrying soil/mulch/compost
• Secateurs
• Pruning saw
• Crow bar (for lifting path for grey water line)
• Shovels x4
• Cordless drills x2
• Trowels
• Spirit level (wicking bed)
• Hand forks
