Permablitz #203 – Sunbury – Booked out!
Date(s) - November 25, 2017
Time - 9:30 am - 4:30 pm
This event is totally booked out - but keep an eye out for more blitzes being announced soon!
Anne and Ian have moved from inner Melbourne to Sunbury to have more space for a food garden, as they both fervently believe in creating more urban food gardens for sharing healthy local food and sustainability. We’re aiming to help them with just that, while also creating a front garden that not only feeds, but also provides some privacy.
On the day we will: reconstruct the front yard using hugelkultur and straw bales as a retainer for new soil, irrigate, plant and mulch; at the rear build compost bays and establish lasagne beds and irrigation system.
There will also be some great workshops on: hugelkultur, building a compost bay from recycled wood, laying two kinds of irrigation (drip-hose at the front and sprinkler-ssystem at the back), establishing lasagna beds.
Things you could bring along: spades and shovels, garden fork, metal garden rake, claw hammers, small crowbar/s, spare wheelbarrow/s
If you’re up for a day of blitzing and meeting new friends, then make sure you book in before you miss it!
Oh noes – this blitz event has totally booked out! Keep an eye out though, we should be announcing another blitz on the other side of town really soon 😉
