Date(s) - October 13, 2019
Time - 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
This is a third-party event not organised by Permablitz. We've added it because we reckon it looks pretty good!
Location - Bellfield Community Centre
Learn in this workshop how to assess the watering needs of vegetables, herbs, fruit trees and bushes, and plants in pots. Both underwatering and overwatering are a waste of water and it is important to water so plants grow healthily but also to conserve water as much as practicable.
Experienced gardener Robin Gale-Baker will put on this workshop to show the best techniques when watering your garden. Robin is a cofounder of Sustainable Macleod and the Macleod Organic Community Garden. She also founded the first herb nursery in Tasmania, running it for 10 years. Robin is currently Victorian Senior of the Year 2018, for Active and Healthy Living.Paul is president and cofounder of Sustainable Macleod, a lifelong edible gardener and a builder of wicking beds.
Join us in the beautiful setting of the Bellfeild Community Garden for this exciting workshop.
This workshop is part of the Sustainable Living Series put on by Transition 3081, a group promoting sustainable living in the T3081 postcode. It’s made possible thanks to the Banyule Council Environmental Sustainability Grant.
