Bundaberg Permablitz #1
A Bundaberg group named Sustainabundy held its first-ever permablitz on April 13. Check out a report of the day and photos here, as well as the site design, a bunch of handy permaculture resources and even a youtube news report on the day.
Meantime, folks are either rolling out or about to kick off permablitzes in Sydney, Adelaide and Hobart, with recent inquiries from folks keen to start them in the USA and Ireland. In response to requests from such groups, we’re getting together a manual of ideas that have worked well getting permablitzes happening in Melbourne – stay tuned as we hope to have it available for download shortly (and email us if you’d like to proofread our latest draft). There’s lots in there, but for us one of the most important point is always ensuring that permaculture design precedes and informs each permablitz – each permablitz starting with a presentation of the design. This way, the word permablitz will retain its integrity to permaculture – the way cool and funky design system for sustainable and abundant human habitats that permablitz is helping to share with the world!
