CERES Nursery After Hours: Talking Tomatoes with Karen Sutherland
Date(s) - November 8, 2018
Time - 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
This is a third-party event not organised by Permablitz. We've added it because we reckon it looks pretty good!
Location - CERES Community Environment Park
It’s tomato planting season and the best opportunity for getting your annual crop off to a good start.
CERES Nursery is pleased to welcome Karen Sutherland, co-author of the newly released book, Tomato: Know, Sow, Grow, Feast, to the first of our “CERES Nursery After Hours” events.
We will celebrate all things tomato on a late Spring afternoon in the greenery and peaceful surrounds of the CERES Nursery.
* Growing tips, book signing and Q + A with Karen
* This year’s favourites among our 34 Organic Heirloom varieties with Farmer Meg
* Discounted tomato seedlings for sale, and signed copies of the Tomato book
* Option to follow it up with a tomato-focused Tamil Feasts dinner. Book here: https://www.trybooking.com/book/sessions?eid=251700
About Karen
Digging her first vegetable garden at the age of 8, Karen Sutherland was destined to become a gardener. Trained at CERES, Melbourne Zoological Gardens, Burnley College and a Permaculture Design Certificate with Bill Mollison, she now writes for various magazines, consults and teaches and is a radio regular. She specialises in edible and useful plants and opens her own garden, Gunyah, in Open Gardens Victoria. Tomato is her first book.
Please note that the Nursery will be closed to the general public for this event and will only be selling tomato seedlings and the Tomato book. Please come during regular hours if you need anything else for your garden.
