Great Neighbourhoods 2017
Date(s) - April 27, 2017
Time - 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
This is a third-party event not organised by Permablitz. We've added it because we reckon it looks pretty good!
Location - Fitzroy Town Hall
Take part in Australia’s first summit on community-led placemaking.
Join leading practitioners and community advocates to share ideas and build a movement for stronger local leadership in the creation of great neighbourhoods, as we launch Round 2 of The Neighbourhood Project.
Great neighbourhoods are thriving and resilient places. When locals work together to initiate neighbourhood projects, revitalise streets, and transform public spaces into friendly, functional and green places, it’s a step towards a great neighbourhood; this is community-led placemaking.
Communities want to do these sorts of activities, and local governments, developers and other land holders are keen to offer their support, but it’s notalways easy.
Together, we can share more effective ways of working together in this emerging area of city-making practice.
Register to attend Great Neighbourhoods 2017 – tickets are heavily subsidised, and free for community leaders – and please submit an EOI on the website if you have a project, tool or policy that you’d like to share. Visit the website to learn more.
PLEASE NOTE: A limited number of free tickets are available for community groups. Email us at theneighbourhoodproject@co
