Make your own Kokedama to take home, using local native plants.
Kokedama is a Japanese method of creating a decorative hanging moss-bound ball planter.They are traditionally created using ornamental plants, however there are many local native species that are perfect for, and thrive in this interesting planter style. Join Amy at Bili nursery as she takes you through a step by step tutorial on creating your own kokedama and shows you which local plant species you can use for this technique. Kokedama are perfect for gifts, or hanging in the home or garden.During this workshop you will:- Learn which native plants are suitable for this technique- What materials you will need- How to create the soil mix and bind the planters All materials are supplied.Participants will leave with their own kokedama. *The workshop takes place outside and is hands on – please dress for the weather and ensure you wear closed-toe shoes.
