Propagation workshop
Date(s) - March 26, 2017
Time - 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm
This is a third-party event not organised by Permablitz. We've added it because we reckon it looks pretty good!
Location - Alice House
Facilitated by Robin and Paul Gale-Baker from Sustainable Macleod. Robin and Paul Gale-Baker are gardeners with over 50 years experience. Robin owned the first herb and cottage plant nursery in Tasmania back in the 1980s and is an expert propagator as is Paul. Paul runs Urban Shepherd and has expertise with wicking beds, worm farms and composting techniques. They are inspiring and entertaining workshop leaders. Robin is also Banyule Local Hero for 2107 -18.
About Alice House: Since 2014, Richard Lee has been working together with Olympic Adult Education @ Alice House, a community gathering place in West Heidelberg. Together we run a seedling propagation project, sharing propagation skills to a small group of volunteers. The volunteers propagate and care for seedlings, which are sold at the Malahang Festival & The Olympic Village Makers Market. All proceeds go back into the project.
We will build the greenhouse together and the workshop will include propagation from seed, cuttings and root division.
