Heating up
Even though we’ve been slack updating the website, lots has been happening in the world of blitz. There are several permablitzes on the horizon and two this weekend. (Book in fast!)
We have just booked in the 100th blitz in and around Melbourne, a great milestone. We’ll have some kind of celebration so stay tuned! We’ve got a brand new collective of organisers, we’re looking into developing some software for our designers, we’ve got new resources about hosting and facilitating blitzes (contact us if you’d like a copy) and we’ve got a new Facebook home.
And there’s a great new South Eastern Suburbs Permaculture page too, who are organising some blitzes of their own, so check that out. It’s for Dandenong and surrounds, the birthplace of the permablitz movement:
www.sesuburbspermaculture.org.au
And our friends who have supplied some plants for us — the Merristem community greenhouse now have a website too:
merristem.blogspot.com – come visit it and take part in Raf’s workshop this Monday eve on Rootcrops & Perennial Vegetables for “lasy-ass gardeners”.
See you soon at a blitz.
Oh and since we were posting so much about Hollywood actress Daryl Hannah getting into permaculture, here’s a pic of permablitzers Adam and Lex meeting her at the Kinglake pub. The first words out of her mouth when she heard we were involved in permablitz was “I loooove you”. So while we’d like pretend she meant it personally, I guess Daryl Hannah loves you too.
