Melbourne has a new hobby – Chicken Bingo!
The idea of Chicken Bingo was first brought to us by Hermann of the Permablitz Collective – we were brainstorming ideas for games, and we immediately knew he was on to a winner! The game (affectionately known as Chicken Shit Bingo) was originally born in Austin, Texas – and is played every Sunday at the Little Longhorn Saloon.
How do you play you ask? It’s simple really… participants get a ticket and some seed.. Each ticket corresponds to a square on the grid.. The chook is unleashed and eats the seed, grass and whatever else it finds… And then… the chook does what a chook does. And when the poop lands, the crowd cries and a winner is declared!
Below are the first ever rounds of Chicken Bingo held in Melbourne. Enjoy!
After a nail-biting two-and-a-half-minutes Cluck Norris dropped the goods and cheers were heard all across Peppertree Place. But alas – the ticket-holder had already left! Which lead us to Round Two…
(Apologies for holding the phone the wrong way. Rookie move!)
The second round was a bit longer. Princess Layer seemed to be a little overwhelmed by the sheer volume of attention her rear was attracting, and may have suffered a touch of stage fright. But after much grazing of grass, pecking of seed and a spot of bickering with Cluck Norris, nature did her thing and the ground received the nutritious piles of poo! This time the winner was on hand to see the action and collect the prize!
No chickens were hurt in the making of these films.
