Alastair hosted Permablitz #45 way back in 2008 (Preston West Blitz).
The property is now available for rental and he’s looking to get tenants that are permie-informed or at least have green thumbs. The block is almost a double-sized one and it needs work on a regular basis to keep it going. There are young, productive fruit trees, circle gardens with drip irrigation, 22,000+ litres of water tanks and the soil of the circle gardens had a lot put into it a few times over the last decade. It would really suit those interested in maintaining veggies etc, we can have someone come and guide tenants on what to do in the garden (Candice O’Neil, PDC) who knows the garden inside out.
And – it’s available for rent now.
Prefer vegetarian/vegan friendly household but not compulsory. One existing tenant may like to stay. 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with bath and sep shower, 1 toilet. The previous tenants had a couple upstairs as the upstairs area is quite spacious and one each in the downstairs bedrooms.
Rent is negotiable depending on applicants experience and preparedness to do work on garden/permie stuff. Inside there’s some nice wooden furniture that needs to be lived with respectfully so applicants need to be house trained and come with good references.
