Sheh-Mae has a yard full of edible, medicinal, native and interesting plants, and learned so much about growing and nurturing them, as welll as attracting beneficial insects.
The sign at the front door says “Spoiled rotten pets live here”. It should read “coddled plants thrive here”! Both front and back yards are lush with growth, in spite of the dryness all around.

A great design has ensured that this garden will serve Alex and Nicole well into the future, and the garden is already providing not only food but play spaces too!
Three years after their permablitz, Michelle and Chris now have all the lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and other veggies they could want. And with the herbs beds, there is generally enough seasonal produce for the whole family!
Permablitzing seems to provide an excellent incentive to maintaining a garden. Three years later and the garden is still a joy. Carol says there was nothing that didn’t work out. What was planned and implemented works well and they are still developing more…
Six years after his front garden Permablitz and about five years after the back garden blitz, Damian now needs a machete to get through the foliage to harvest the abundance of veggies and fruit!
